You will join our Industrial Wastewater department As our new Industrial Wastewater Intern, you will be part of a team dedicated to working with industrial clients and deliver a wide range of water-related counselling; from early phase strategic analyses and project scoping to designing and implementing infrastructure solutions.

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate will have completed their sophomore year in one of the following disciplines: Civil, Chemical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering and a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Consistently utilize sound judgment and discretion in performance of job functions.
  • Participate actively in creating a safety culture in the office and at the jobsite.
  • Adhere to the policies and standards set forth in the Firm’s Quality Management System.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Work effectively in teams.
  • Willingness to continue to improve.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in a variety of areas:
  • Civil designs for industrial facilities renovations and expansions including process and plumbing
  • Remediation of hazardous waste sites, underground storage tank removal, phase 1 investigations, and environmental compliance
  • Remedial design activities: basis of design/pilot studies, remedial design reports and action plans, permit applications and contract documents, remedial action activities such as bid assistance and contractor selection
  • Assist in gathering and recording information to be used for writing specifications.
  • Assist in reviewing vendor drawings to assure compliance with specifications.
  • Assist in the preparation or presenting of routine technical reports.
  • Visit job sites to gain field experience, broaden background, and develop practical engineering skills.
