Come join our team supporting the wastewater treatment needs for a food and beverage client located in Crossville, Tennessee! In this unique role, you will have the chance to work in Industrial Wastewater Treatment, allowing you the opportunity to grow and develop your skill set in the field. We are seeking a full-time Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) Operator in Crossville, TN. This position is responsible for operating the WWTP in compliance with applicable local, state, and Federal environmental requirements, including performing daily rounds, assisting with equipment repairs, and troubleshooting and correcting operational problems. Other responsibilities include grounds keeping, pressure washing, light painting, sweeping, cleaning, and shoveling. The schedule for this position involves rotating shifts allowing you the chance to maximize your time off when planned in advance. Shifts may include nights, weekends or legal holidays with the opportunity for overtime pay. Schedule: The schedule is eight days on, six days off. 2nd shift Hours: 11:00am to 9:00pm and 3rd shift Hours are: 8:00pm to 6:00am. The operators work from Wednesday through the following Wednesday and then get the next 6 days off. Weekdays are 10-hour days and the weekends (Saturday & Sunday) and holidays are 12-hour days.

Requirements

  • High School Degree or Equivalent.
  • Applicant must possess a valid driver’s License and maintain a good driving record.
  • Must be able to lift or move up to 40 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Ability to make sound decisions in process control and follow instructions, as well as follow safety procedures.
  • Successful candidates will be required to complete a pre-placement background check, physical and drug screen before employment.

Nice To Haves

  • A wastewater license is not required but a Tennessee Wastewater license is preferred. We will work with employees to obtain licensure.
  • Knowledge of computer applications, or ability to use & learn various software programs [Hach WIMS, SEMS CMMS, and Utility Cloud].
