About The Position

The Intern, Hydrogen Product/Infrastructure Development will support the implementation of a technology and business development strategy for hydrogen infrastructure in California and North America in collaboration with the U.S. Energy & Hydrogen team. This role involves coordinating with external business partners, government agencies, and R&D institutes and tracking state government incentives related to hydrogen infrastructure. The intern will also engage with newly established hydrogen hubs nationwide, contributing to strategic initiatives that advance clean energy solutions and infrastructure development.

Requirements

  • Must be a high school graduate
  • Bachelor’s (Rising Juniors or Seniors) or Master’s degree candidate in engineering
  • Research experience directly relevant to renewables and sustainability.
  • Experience in government relations and state/federal government granted projects.
  • Cross-cultural communication skills, analytical ability, presentation skills, and an ability to work cross functionally
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong PowerPoint skills and ability to synthesize information effectively
  • Available for a full-time paid internship in June to August 2026
  • Local to Fountain Valley, CA (no relocation or housing will be offered)
  • Must be eligible to work up to 40 hours per week
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis during the internship
  • Visa sponsorship is not available
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Monday-Friday)

Responsibilities

  • Desk research activities including collection of information, analyzing trends & assessing the landscape.
  • Network activity including contacts with public and private institutions.
  • Identify and pursue strategic opportunities to strengthen Hyundai’s role in the hydrogen economy through active collaboration with various stakeholders
  • Initiate the process of applying for government grant programs.
