About The Position

We are seeking a passionate and driven summer intern to join our team. In this
role, you will contribute to the development and evaluation of immersive VR
applications designed to support healthcare providers and improve patient care.
This internship is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience building
research-driven software in a highly innovative and impactful domain,
collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and helping shape the future of VR
in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• VR Application Development: Contribute to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of VR applications in Unity for healthcare research and clinical innovation projects.
• Research Translation: Work closely with researchers, clinicians, designers, and engineers to translate study goals, user needs, and clinical workflow requirements into functional VR prototypes and applications.
• Prototyping & Iteration: Develop and refine immersive prototypes to support human subjects research, usability testing, and iterative evaluation of VR interventions.
• Optimization & Debugging: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software issues while improving application performance, stability, and user comfort in VR environments.
• Technical Documentation: Document software architecture, implementation details, and development decisions to support reproducibility, collaboration, and ongoing research efforts.
