Landis+Gyr is seeking a Firmware Engineering Intern for Summer 2026 to work on-site fulltime hours Monday through Friday at our Alpharetta, GA location. This is a paid internship but we don't provide housing assistance or relocation so will be considering local applicants. Project Overview: Student will work on Linux based embedded systems – Edge intelligence Card and Gateway. Work will involve working on a physical device operating in a Low Power Wireless RF Network. In this role, student will get the chance to work on embedded code running in these devices, work on wireless communication networking and Linux networking.

Requirements

  • Applicants must be undergraduate students currently in their Sophomore or Junior year working on their Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Graduates and Masters level students will not be considered.

  • To work on production code for Edge Intelligence Card and Gateway embedded systems
  • To make and maintain low power wireless communication network and test that
  • To test message flow through these systems
