About The Position

The Business Intern position at AAON offers students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Interns will support various business functions by assisting with projects, conducting research, and contributing to process improvements. This role is designed to provide exposure to real-world business operations while developing professional skills and industry knowledge. Interns will work closely with experienced professionals and participate in team-based initiatives that align with AAON’s strategic goals.

Requirements

  • Requires current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of business principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to learn and take initiative in a professional setting.
  • or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • This role requires curiosity, adaptability, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a structured environment.
  • Interns must be able to follow instructions, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively with team members.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Use of computer and office equipment for most tasks.
  • Occasional movement between office and production areas.
  • Ability to handle moderate levels of stress in a learning environment.

  • Completion of at least two years of undergraduate coursework.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with data collection, analysis, and reporting to support departmental goals.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct market or operational research and present findings to team members.
  • Support documentation, workflow updates, and administrative tasks as needed.
  • Attend team meetings and contribute to discussions with insights and questions.
  • Shadow professionals to gain exposure to various business functions.
  • Prepare presentations or reports summarizing internship experiences and learnings.
  • Collaborate with other interns and departments on company-wide initiatives.
