About The Position

The Family and Community Partnerships Intern I will play a key role in supporting the daily operations by assisting with student supervision, facilitating enrichment activities, and providing logistical and administrative support. Under the guidance of site leadership, the intern will help manage attendance, distribute materials, support teachers during lessons, and ensure a safe and engaging learning environment. This position offers hands-on experience in education and youth development while contributing to a meaningful learning experience for students.

Requirements

  • Candidate must be in the process of obtaining a undergraduate level degree in a relevant field
  • Relevant experience with children, education, or administrative duties

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning and execution of the Promising Scholars program and related initiatives: Support the development and operationalization of key components of the program, ensuring all activities align with the program's goals and objectives.
  • Facilitate communications with schools, families, and community partners to foster engagement and program success: Act as a liaison between the program and various stakeholders, including schools, families, and community partners, to ensure clear, consistent, and timely communication, fostering strong relationships and program buy-in.
  • Assist in designing and implementing student retention strategies, including efforts related to 3rd-grade retention: Support the development of targeted retention strategies to ensure students remain engaged in the program, with a focus on strategies to address 3rd-grade retention and other key student needs.
  • Manage and update supply inventory, ensuring timely fulfillment of requests and coordinating distribution to schools and families: Oversee the inventory of program materials and supplies, track usage, and ensure timely distribution to schools and families, maintaining an organized and efficient system.
  • Contribute to the development of program materials, presentations, and reports for stakeholders: Assist in drafting, reviewing, and preparing materials such as presentations, reports, and informational documents that effectively communicate program goals, progress, and outcomes to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with program staff to analyze data, track outcomes, and ensure alignment with grant and state legislative requirements. Work closely with the team to visit schools, review and interpret data, monitor student progress and program effectiveness, and ensure compliance with funding and state regulations.
  • Develop graphics and visuals to engage families and stakeholders through social media: Design eye-catching and informative graphics, infographics, and visual content to support the program's messaging and engage families, stakeholders, and the broader community.
  • Create and schedule social media posts to highlight program successes and important updates: Develop a content calendar and schedule posts on various platforms to showcase program milestones, updates, and positive outcomes, ensuring consistent and engaging communication.
