Job Responsibilities: Position Overview This position will support the Failure Analysis Lab and Validation Teams in fulfilling testing, evaluation, data analysis and issue debugging duties. This position will report to the Validation Manager.

Requirements

  • Some related experience preferred
  • High School Diploma
  • Currently Attending a College or University
  • Proficient Computer knowledge and skills, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Professional Communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong technical and analytical competence in select areas of technology.
  • Support problem solving and continuous improvement (CIP) initiatives to improve efficiency and effectiveness of methods and processes.
  • Hands on, be able to perform testing, create/move setups and start/monitor tests.
  • Normal amount of sitting or standing, average mobility to move around an office environment, able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer.
  • In case necessary deliver parts to external labs and support testing at lab remote locations.

Responsibilities

  • Listen for Instructions, take notes, ask questions and explain procedures to confirm requirements are understood before starting any task/testing.
  • Support Validation and Failure Analysis engineers in day-to-day activities including module reflash, part logging, and issue tracking
  • Support validation and failure analysis engineers on test data analysis and reporting
  • Support validation engineering on test issue debug and tracking
  • Testing of electronic modules during development (ED), DV (Design Validation) and PV (Production Validation). Includes: working directly with a Validation Engineer (VE) to review, understand and execute test instructions.
  • Part sample management, test setups, environmental chamber operation, sample analysis prep, logging, data acquisition and reporting. Includes working directly with Failure Analysis lab to assist with cross sectioning, Xray’s, CT Scans, circuit analysis, and potentially component swaps.
  • Work with electronic module test stands to ensure correct setups and execution of active testing on modules.
  • Perform diagnostics, repair and maintenance of electronic test stands as well as harness build, debug and repair.
  • Analyze the data outputs from various actions to provide insight into what might be the results or driving factors.
  • Work with other department associates to ensure full proxy/backup of all key responsibilities.
  • Ability to manage priorities and support multi-tasking activities, self-driven to seek out additional work during slower periods.
  • Support parts storage practices, labeling and Fixtures organization.
