ADI's Quality Organization is seeking an experienced Failure Analysis Technician to help us understand and solve the root causes of customer returns as well as support qualification and new product introduction activities at our location in San Jose, CA. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED certificate required; AA or college training in EE, Mat. Sci, or related field preferred.
  • For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S. Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls. As such, applicants for this position – except US Citizens, US Permanent Residents, and protected individuals as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) – may have to go through an export licensing review process.

Responsibilities

  • Support and respond to internal and external customer requests for analyses of ADI products.
  • Sample Preparation
  • FA engineering support (optical inspections, x-ray)
  • Clear, concise, and professional documentation of results
  • Meet ADI’s failure analysis cycle time and quality commitments
  • Provide periodic updates on your analyses
