Additional information about the company can be found online at www.bwpipelines.com. We are currently looking for an Intern - Facilities Mechanical Engineer for our Houston, TX office. POSITION DESCRIPTION: This Engineering position provides mechanical engineering support to the Facilities Engineering and Construction project teams. Responsibilities will include all phases of mechanical design, testing, and commissioning including reviewing P&IDs, piping drawings, pipe stress, pipe supports, mechanical bill of materials, and engineered equipment, creating and reviewing facility mechanical specifications and procurement data sheets, overseeing field installation, testing, and commissioning of equipment required for facility operation. This position will also be responsible The role requires frequent short term travel (1-3 days) with infrequent long term travel (2-4 weeks with travel home on weekends provided).

Requirements

  • Familiarity with the use of electronic communications, and typical software systems such as Microsoft Office and other design related software.
  • The ability to work in a team environment and willingness to travel to sites and review field installations and construction.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be a current Junior or Senior student
  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering
