About The Position

The Event Marketing Summer Intern will support the Event Marketing Team in planning, coordinating and executing high-impact marketing events. This role offers hands-on experience in event strategy, logistics, branding and cross-functional collaboration within a fast-paced marketing environment. This internship is ideal for a student pursuing marketing, communications, business, hospitality or a related field who is eager to gain real-world experience in event management and marketing for both internal and external-facing events. This internship will run for up to 10 weeks, up to 40 hours per week, commencing on June 1st and concluding by August 7th.

Requirements

  • Successful candidates must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program from an accredited college / university as a rising junior / senior.
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Engineering Technology and Management or similar engineering degree.
  • Proactive and eager to learn, with a willingness to ask questions and take guidance.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working with existing written documentation and making updates based on provided standards.
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while being part of a collaborative team.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Enthusiasm for gaining practical, real-world experience in data center environments.
  • Ability to travel several times during the internship to one of our markets.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. We are not able to sponsor or transfer employment visas or work authorization, including CPT/OPT.

Nice To Haves

  • Reside in one of Cologix data center markets
  • Interest in data center environments and their supporting infrastructure
  • Working knowledge of electrical distribution and HVAC systems
  • Exposure to popular CRM platforms such as NetSuite, Salesforce, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Data gathering, validation and analysis.
  • Assist with the creation of MOPs (Method of Procedures), SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and EOPs (Emergency Operating Procedures).
  • Replicate MOPs, SOPs, EOPs across the platform where similar equipment exists.
  • Work with existing Facility Engineers to update equipment records.
  • Collaborate with Compliance team members who will provide direction, feedback, and mentorship throughout the internship.
