Requirements

  • Must possess a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record.
  • Must possess the ability to read, write and perform basic math.
  • Must be comfortable performing computer functions.
  • Must be available to work in all types of indoor and outdoor environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred applicants will have a GPA of 3.2 or above and actively pursuing a Bachelor of Science or master's degree in environmental studies, wetland biology, geology or other related discipline.
  • GIS certificate or similar studies are also given preference.
  • Applicants must have graduated or have a graduation year of Spring 2026 through Spring 2027.
  • Position is based out of the Hagerstown, Maryland office, no remote or hybrid work.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Staff, Project, and Senior Personnel with diverse tasks in the field and/or office.
  • Complete and submit field reports in a legible and timely manner.
  • Apply standard techniques and procedures for collecting environmental samples (soil, water, groundwater) to complete routine environmental assignments.
  • Utilize publicly available data, maps, satellite imagery, GIS data and other sources to perform site analysis.
  • Assist in preparing reports and correspondence related to assigned projects.
  • Notify supervisor immediately of problems and/or deviations from assignments, plans and/or specifications.
  • May interact with clients and will be expected to do so in a professional and customer-friendly manner.
  • Strive to make each project profitable by completing each task efficiently and timely.
  • May rotate throughout Triad's various disciplines to support workload and/or enhance learning.
