About The Position

Description What this Department does: The Project Management department manages all the capital projects for Tallgrass including natural gas, hydrogen and ammonia transportation, and CO2 sequestration. Responsibilities What you will do: The selected candidate will work in the Tallgrass Project Management department in Houston, Texas. The intern’s main responsibility will be to support the Environmental Manager in the day-to-day running of a major project. You will become part of the project management team of a project. You can expect to: Supporting the department's effort to permit large projects in the US by creating tracking sheets of the required permits and consents, collecting and archiving data from previous projects. Developing presentations and reports to manage progress in permitting projects. Assist in the preparation of reports and ad Hoc tasks as requested by the Environmental Regulatory Manager. What you will learn: The intern will learn the basic tasks of running a large capital project and be exposed to the decision-making processes of environmental and regulatory programs. Qualifications What you will bring: Education: Students actively enrolled in an approved bachelor’s or master’s Environmental Science program with expected graduation date of December 2025- May 2028. Experience/Specific Knowledge Microsoft Office expert level Excellent math skills What will make you stand out: High GPA Requirements Foreign Language skills Can do attitude. What else you need to know: Our internships are temporary full-time positions, in-person at our Houston office. We will host our Summer 2026 interns from May-August for 10 weeks. Compensation And Other Benefits Pay Range $23.22-$31.01 USD hourly You may be eligible for a stipend to subsidize housing costs. The final pay for this role will depend on a variety of factors, including a specific candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and working location. The total compensation package for this role may also include overtime pay, paid time off, a housing stipend, and more.

Requirements

  • Students actively enrolled in an approved bachelor’s or master’s Environmental Science program with expected graduation date of December 2025- May 2028.
  • Microsoft Office expert level
  • Excellent math skills
