The Intern, Engineering will support the Project Leaders in with project development, execution and implementation over the course of the internship. The intern will help the project manager with communication, supervision and troubleshooting during the life cycle of the projects. Projects will vary depending on life cycle and lead time. This internship will be a dedicated on-site position. The Internship will begin on May 11th and end August 14th, 2026. Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s program in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or related field).
  • Are able to travel between sites on a regular basis (60% in Port Coquitlam, 40% in Brandon)
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Are detail-oriented, analytical, self-motivated and willing to take initiative;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic CAD tools (AutoCAD, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work independently when needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Have previous related internship experience (an asset)

Responsibilities

  • Support capital project development, commissioning and execution.
  • Work closely with multiple departments (Operations, Health and Safety, Quality) and contractors to ensure high quality execution
  • Record & Parts keeping – assisting with ordering required parts, tracking deliveries, approving invoices and maintaining budget.
  • Documentation/Process – Supports drawing updates, help communicate process changes to necessary stakeholders, pipe labelling
  • Ad-hoc requests and Special Projects.
