About The Position

The Intern - Endpoint Engineering will assist the IT team in supporting and maintaining end-user computing systems. This internship provides hands-on experience in troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing inventory, and learning about endpoint security and configuration. The role is designed to be educational and supportive, with opportunities to learn from experienced engineers. Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior coursework or hands-on experience with endpoint systems is preferred.
  • Technical certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified) are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Service and Support
  • Creates environment and processes for simple break/fix endpoint replacement to minimize disruption to end users when computing issues arise
  • Implements and maintains standard desktop, laptop, tablet, phone, ATM and other endpoint systems and devices
  • Accurately records requests, incidents and resolutions into the help desk ticketing system
  • Travel to branch locations with team members when necessary for support tasks.
  • Evaluates tickets for ongoing performance improvement opportunities and reduction of endpoint incidents
  • Endpoints Configuration
  • Installs, configures and troubleshoots hardware including desktops, laptops, and peripheral equipment
  • Installs, configures and troubleshoots software packages including operating systems, desktop software and custom applications
  • Manages the endpoint/device equipment inventory
  • Endpoints Security
  • Manages endpoints’ image, hardening standards and patch deployment
  • Administers desktop computers, printers, updates and patches
  • Shadow engineers to learn about endpoint security and patch management.
