Harbinger: Familiar Form, Revolutionary Foundation. Internship at a Glance: Location: Immerse yourself in our innovative culture! This role requires a commitment of 4 days in-office per week at our facility in Garden Grove, CA as well as full-time hours (40 hours a week). Duration: 10-11 weeks (May 26 to August 7 OR June 22 to August 28) Relocation Support: A $1,000 relocation stipend is available for interns currently residing more than 50 miles from Garden Grove, CA. Compensation: Earn an hourly rate of $25-35 USD per hour.
Requirements
- Knowledge of electrical fundamentals including basic circuit analysis, component selection, circuit protection, etc.
- Working knowledge of automotive 12v systems and automotive communication systems such as CANbus
- Experience in hands-on electrical fabrication and/or troubleshooting
- Experience in basic PCB layout
- Experience in setup and use of data acquisition systems
- Work authorized in the United States OR ability to obtain J-1/F-1 visa
Responsibilities
- Contribute to electrical system architecture, design, test, and documentation
- Perform bringup and troubleshooting of electrical controls systems
- Assist with hands-on fabrication of wire harnesses
- Design and perform tests of systems and devices
- Analyze full-vehicle data to solve problems and identify controls improvements
- Collaborate with mechanical designers to integrate electrical devices in product designs
