About The Position

Primary Duties & Responsibilities Assist Facilities Engineering with electrical infrastructure projects, including power distribution, equipment installations, and facility upgrades. Support project planning and coordination, including tracking schedules, budgets, and project documentation. Assist in reviewing electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and equipment specifications for facility systems. Participate in site walkdowns and inspections to document electrical systems (switchgear, transformers, substations, backup power, etc.) and identify improvement opportunities. Help collect and analyze data related to energy usage, electrical loads, and facility system performance. Work with engineers and contractors to support project execution, commissioning, and system testing. Assist with updating engineering documentation, maintenance records, and project reports Prepare a final internship presentation or report summarizing project contributions and key learnings. Requirements

  • Education Level Required: Bachelor’s or Master’s
  • If bachelor’s candidate should be a rising Junior (completed 2 years by start)
  • Majors: Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related engineering discipline
  • Relevant coursework power systems, electrical design, energy systems, or industrial electrical systems is strongly desired.
  • Open to currently enrolled students or those who have graduated within one year of the internship start date.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Team-oriented but able to work independently when needed.
  • Adaptable and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and time management.
  • Familiarity with electrical power systems and facility infrastructure.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and project tracking tools preferred.
  • Internship Duration: 10 – 14 weeks.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or electrical drawing review is a plus.
