About The Position

AST SpaceMobile is building the first and only global cellular broadband network in space to operate directly with standard, unmodified mobile devices based on our extensive IP and patent portfolio and designed for both commercial and government applications. Our engineers and space scientists are on a mission to eliminate the connectivity gaps faced by today’s five billion mobile subscribers and finally bring broadband to the billions who remain unconnected. Position Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Electrical & Electronics Engineering Intern for the 2026 Summer Internship Program to support testing and verification activities for spacecraft propulsion and power subsystems. This internship offers hands‑on experience in a professional spaceflight laboratory, working with experienced test engineers on flight and proto‑flight hardware for LEO‑class spacecraft. The intern will engage in electrical functional testing, environmental test monitoring (TVAC & vibration), data analysis, and documentation, while learning space‑grade engineering discipline and safety practices. This is a 12-week internship beginning 6/1/2026 at our Homestead, FL location.  To be considered for the internship you must be enrolled in the following semester. If you are a recent graduate, please apply to one of our full-time roles.
