About The Position

To participate in an Internship under the guidance of a qualified Early Intervention Provider, including: Educator, PT, PTA, OT, COTA, SLP, SLA, or Case Manager. Essential Responsibilities: Students will observe an Early Intervention provider during internship hours. Students will perform procedures and activities under the direct supervision of an Early Intervention Provider. Students will observe at least 1 developmental evaluation. Students will observe treatment by a licensed Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Speech and Language Pathologist, and Educator. Students will observe Case Management provided to a family Students will assist with activities as directed by an Early Intervention Provider during therapeutic groups. Students will integrate procedures and techniques learned in their college programs while working under the direct supervision of an Early Intervention Provider. Students will provide education, clinical updates, and/or case management to parents or caregivers under the direction of an Early Intervention Provider. Students will provide an in-service to staff. Students will meet weekly with their Program Instructor(s) to review progress and goals for Internship.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a College program with a goal of receiving an Associate, Bachelor, or Master degree in a human services related field and have approval from his or her program director
  • Proven written communication ability
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Students must have approval from HR prior to starting internship hours

Responsibilities
