The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) Donor Experience team is charged with owning the donor experience. The team works directly with donors on service needs, stewardship, and gratitude to ensure a positive working relationship between the donor and WWP. We offer consultative services to all Resource Development teams by writing thank you notes, and other duties as needed to engage with donors on a daily basis. The Donor Experience Intern contributes to the overall success of WWP and the Resource Development team by working in tandem with various teams to collect data for targeted mailing initiatives, fostering meaningful donor engagement. Responsibilities include tracking donor recognition opportunities and preparing and mailing donor letters, as needed. APPLICANT ALERT: This is a paid internship opportunity for qualified applicants, and requires in-person attendance, three days each week at our Jacksonville, Florida location. This is not a virtual position.

Requirements

  • One year of customer service experience.
  • One year of experience using Microsoft Office, e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
  • HS Diploma or equivalent.
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college.
  • Ability to respond to changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, working environment.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and tact.
  • High energy level.
  • Self- starter; willing to take initiative.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
  • Mission-driven, guided by core values, and a pleasure to work with.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and respond in a timely manner to all donor requests via phone, email, and mail.
  • Import data accurately into the donor database.
  • Track and follow up on donor recognition opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain a working understanding of the Resource Development team’s responsibilities and Wounded Warrior Project’s mission and purpose.
  • Work in partnership with teams to gather data to identify donors for mailing opportunities.
  • Create and mail donor letters, as needed.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
