About The Position

USA Lacrosse is looking for an unpaid/for credit intern to work with our Marketing and IT team. The Intern, Digital Technology & Marketing Communications will work closely with the Email Marketing and Marketing Technology teams, learning how to leverage email as a marketing tool. Requirements

  • Current student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in digital media, communications, marketing, or related field.
  • Eligibility to earn college credit for internship a plus.
  • Ability to dedicate 10-20 hours per week from May to August 2026. This includes the ability to work onsite at USA Lacrosse’s headquarters office in Sparks, MD.
  • Previous work experience in some capacity. Volunteer experience for a mission-based organization a plus.
  • Familiarly with sports, lacrosse a plus, with the desire to learn and appreciate the sport so you can capture images to tell a story.
  • Demonstrated understanding of digital media software and editing platforms.
  • Working knowledge of project management software.
  • Working knowledge of HTML or email marketing software.
  • Intermediate computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft 365 products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint.
  • Enthusiastic go-getter with a “roll up your sleeves” and “get it done” attitude.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, follow up/through skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, including interpersonal, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with building reports to analyze email and SMS metrics from both automated and manual sends. This includes, but is not limited to, comparing retail email sends from 2026 to 2025, identifying trends, and drawing insights for changes in click, open, and unsubscribe rates.
  • Helps maintain and organize the email calendar hosted on Monday.com and identifies areas for possible growth or integrations to improve workflow.
  • Assists with the clean-up of duplicate records and helps organize subscriber data in both Salesforce Marketing Cloud and the CRM.
  • Helps open tickets with the Salesforce Support Team to improve the system architecture and monitors and follows up on cases to ensure resolution.
  • Supports email and SMS deployment in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, while using best practices for HTML.
  • Stays up to date with industry trends and best practices for SMS and email marketing.
  • Researches National Governing Bodies (NGBs) in the space to learn what other organizations are doing to market to their audiences via email and SMS.
