The SPLC is seeking a highly motivated Development Systems & Data Integrity Summer Intern who is passionate about data quality, technical systems, and supporting mission-driven work! The Southern Poverty Law Center offers internships to exceptional students enrolled in accredited undergraduate and graduate schools who possess strong academic backgrounds, excellent analytical skills, and a commitment to public interest work. The Center is a catalyst for racial justice in the South and beyond, working in partnership with communities to dismantle white supremacy, strengthen intersectional movements, and advance the human rights of all people. As an internationally recognized nonprofit organization, the Center is dedicated to reducing bigotry and oppression through outreach, public education, litigation and policy advocacy. Who You Are Detail-Oriented. Strong attention to detail with a passion for data accuracy, quality, and integrity in technical systems. Technical. Basic understanding of software development concepts, system workflows, databases, and data validation principles. Problem-Solver. Ability to identify and escalate data anomalies, inconsistencies, or process gaps, and contribute to system reliability improvements. Organized. Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to maintain documentation, timelines, and task lists. Collaborative.
