About The Position

We are seeking a highly talented Design Engineering Intern to join our Material Handling, Structures, and Specialty Engineering team at one of our three locations in Assumption, IL, Paris, IL, or Omaha, NE for the Summer of 2026. This is a paid, full-time internship during the summer. Students are required to work 40 hours per week onsite at one of the three aforementioned locations from tentatively Wednesday, May 27th through Friday, July 31st (dependent upon summer housing dates, could start earlier and/or end later). Your Impact Utilize 3D and 2D CAD tools to design new and update existing components Execute engineering release processes to publish and revise drawings and bills of material Communicate with Engineering Team Lead, Engineering Manager, and Product Manager to understand and verify product requirements and cost targets Engage with manufacturing team to gather inputs and integrate Design For Manufacturing (DFM) principles into product designs Mitigate production issues through engineering and product managers Support the Tech Services team with troubleshooting field issues Support current product maintenance and updates per stakeholder requests

Requirements

  • Enrollment in a degree program in design engineering, agricultural engineering, or related field
  • Must be registered as a full-time student
  • Must be able to commute to the work location on a daily basis
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD tools such as Solidworks, Inventor, or Creo
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Preferably have completed one or more internships and/or have working experience (e.g. part time job)

Responsibilities
