About The Position

The Intern - Customer Engagement position is designed to support communication and customer outreach functions within the Business Development department. The intern will assist in the strategy and design of various initiatives, particularly focusing on natural gas and water infrastructure replacement programs. Responsibilities include creating outreach materials, facilitating community events, and ensuring compliance with regulatory documentation.

Requirements

• One year of college completed with a focus in communications, public relations, or a related field.
• Valid driver's license upon hire.
• Pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word) and enterprise software (e.g., SAP).
• Ability to learn new or upgraded computer software.

Responsibilities

• Support communication and customer outreach functions at the District.
• Assist Business Development with strategy and design of initiatives related to infrastructure replacement programs.
• Create materials for proactive customer outreach.
• Facilitate and present information at community events related to Lead and Copper Rule Revisions (LCRR).
• Assist Customer Engagement staff with tracking outreach and documentation for regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with staff to create and implement community outreach programs.
• Assist with planning and presentations for District-hosted and community events.
• Create and update spreadsheets and coordinate outreach materials.
• Perform various administrative tasks including data entry and mailings.

Benefits
