About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Intern to join the Components and Systems team for Summer 2026. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience in component testing, detailed assembly processes, and design reviews while working alongside industry professionals, and contribute to meaningful projects that support our team and company objectives. Requirements

Education: Enrolled in a 4-year engineering program.
Experience: Completion of 1 year towards bachelor’s degree.
Majors: Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or similar)
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Team-oriented but able to work independently when needed.
Adaptable and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and time management.

Nice To Haves

Relevant coursework or extracurricular experience in Office 365 and Python is a plus.
Open to currently enrolled students or those who have graduated within one year of the internship start date.

Responsibilities

Assist with data collection and analysis.
Implement SPC on existing processes and develop department BI reports to display data.
Assist PE with conducting work instruction reviews and implementation of process improvements.
Identify potential AI based solutions for improved efficiency within the department.
Other general QA testing and characterization of optical assemblies
Laser testing of production parts.
Recording testing results into database.
Assist in 5S program.
Work with Oracle.
Assist in department transfer activities to offshore facilities.
