About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Commercial and Operational Data Analyst Intern to join our Engineered Materials Group Strategic Programs team for Summer 2026. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience assisting with a global, strategic, change management project related to commercial and operation analysis and reporting.

Requirements

Education Level Required: Current College Student, all tracts, rising Junior or above considered Bachelor's / Master’s / PhD
Majors: Technical degree in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or Economics considered
Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g. Excel, SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI, VB/VBA, MATLAB)
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Team-oriented but able to work independently when needed.
Adaptable and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and time management.
Ability to achieve results both independently and working with others Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders

Nice To Haves

Experience in engineering, manufacturing
Knowledge of machine learning and predictive modeling is a plus
Familiarity with data warehousing and ETL processes
Open to currently enrolled students or those who have graduated within one year of the internship start date.

Responsibilities

Assist with identifying trends, patterns, and insights to support data-driven decisions across the Engineered Materials Group
Assist with the summary and communication of analysis results within the group
Help develop, implement, and maintain databases, data collection systems, and other strategic applications which optimize data efficiency and the quality of commercial reporting
Assist with the preparation of reports, visualizations, and dashboards to present data insights to stakeholders in a clear and actionable way (e.g. Power BI dashboards reports, etc.)
Monitor data accuracy and integrity, ensuring quality and consistency of data
Assist project teams comprising of different departments (such as Product Management, Sales, IT, Engineering, Operations) to make document data and processes changes required to optimize processes and outputs
Write SQL queries to access and manipulate data in relational databases.
Develop scripts (Python, R, etc.) to automate data processing tasks.
Extract data from various sources (databases, APIs, flat files) using appropriate tools and techniques.
Cleanse and transform raw data to ensure data quality and consistency.
Assist with the development of data pipelines to automate data ingestion and processing.
