Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program studying Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 3.0 GPA.
  • Strong fundamental understanding of investment casting manufacturing process for single crystal nickel based superalloys.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise in investment casting process, supporting process and manufacturing engineers in the Rapid Prototype Casting Laboratory.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify paths to increase casting yield and quality.
  • Identify and manage risk using lean tools to propose risk management solutions.
  • Provide analysis and develop recommendations for corrective actions due to process failures.
  • Disseminate research results through verbal and written communications, including internal reports and presentations.
