Michaels is looking for a Data Analyst/Capital Markets Intern who is ready to apply their course-work to a real-world experience! The intern will assist the Investment Management team with a wide-range of responsibilities during the program. The internship will appeal to proactive and self-motivated students with a genuine desire to learn about the real estate business and industry. During the program, you will work on real projects and have real responsibilities. As a Corporate Capital Markets Intern, you will play a crucial role in supporting our organization's capital markets activities. You will be responsible for assisting with various financial transactions, conducting research, analyzing market trends, and providing strategic recommendations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work closely with senior professionals, contribute to critical decision-making processes, and gain valuable experience in the dynamic world of corporate capital markets.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in using financial software and tools, such as Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with professionals from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in conducting detailed research and analysis on capital markets trends, regulatory developments, and industry benchmarks.
  • Assist in the execution of various financial transactions, including initial public offerings (IPOs), debt issuances, mergers, and acquisitions (M&A), and equity offerings.
  • Assist in preparation and reviewing of financial documents, prospectuses, offering memorandums, and other relevant materials.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Exposure to the due diligence process by assisting in conducting financial modeling, valuation analyses, and risk assessments.
  • Help monitor and evaluate the performance of capital market investments, providing recommendations for potential improvements.
  • Assist in the development of investor relations strategies, including investor presentations and communication materials.
  • Exposure to market conditions, industry trends, and emerging opportunities to identify potential risks and opportunities.
