About The Position

Our Secondary Marketing interns are responsible for registering and communicating rate lock information and pricing of all loans, delivering loans that are being sold to investors, providing investors with all required reporting, and ensuring that management obtains timely reports addressing loans originated, sold, and serviced. Union Home Mortgage’s L.E.A.D Internship Program’s goal is to provide a fun, interesting, and real-world environment for our interns to Learn about the industry, be Educated by Sr. Leadership and their peers, Achieve their personal goals and Develop their skills and knowledge base. We pride ourselves in providing innovative programs for our interns in order for them to learn and grow they progress through their careers. Some of the programs we offer include: shadowing, mentoring, professional development, group projects and we even take our interns on corporate outings! Our internship program gives students a chance to meet new people, gain more experience, and learn from the best in the business! Our interns are treated like full-time Partners who work 40 hours a week during the 3-month summer program, are compensated, and based out of headquarters in Strongsville, Ohio.

Requirements

  • Use of financial data.
  • Analyze issues and implement solutions.
  • Personal organization and ability to multi-task.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business, Economics Finance or related major, with at least a 3.5 GPA
  • Sophomore, Junior or Senior Standing
  • Candidate must be enthusiastic, a self-starter, ability to work in a group or independently and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Issue daily pricing.
  • Confirm and accept locks from all channels (retail, wholesale, consumer direct).
  • Monitor and perform changes to locks and rate adjustments.
  • Understand and communicate investor policies and requirements.
  • Register loans with state agencies.
  • Assist in loan delivery of Conventional mortgage products to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
  • Manage pipeline rate lock policy to ensure profitability in all market conditions.
  • Eligibility and execution modeling.
  • Analysis and data reporting projects related to the day to day operations of the department.
