Intern - Business Analyst, Care Model ID and Stratification

Program Duration Our internship program runs approximately 40 hours per week, from June 1st through mid-August. The Impact You Will Have Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota is seeking an Intern - Business Analyst to join our Care Model team! In this role, you will support our Identification & Stratification team by helping build the logic that powers our Care Model outreach campaigns. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and validate business requirements, and serve as a liaison between the Care Model team and our technical partners to ensure accurate and timely implementation.
Requirements
- Must be enrolled in an educational program for the duration of the internship.
- Completed at least one year (2 semesters or credits equivalent) by the start of the internship.
- Undergrad Degree in Engineering, Data, Statistics or Mathematics is preferred.
- Professional demeanor, positive attitude, and a customer service orientation
- Willingness to take initiative and learn new concepts and technical skills
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment, including being on-site at least 2 days per week.
Responsibilities
- Support the development of logic and criteria used in Care Model outreach campaigns.
- Gather, document, and validate business requirements from stakeholders across the organization.
- Translate business needs into clear specifications for technical teams.
- Assist in testing, reviewing, and validating logic configurations and campaign outputs.
- Conduct data analysis to support decision-making and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Participate in team meetings, planning sessions, and cross-functional discussions.
- Help maintain documentation, workflows, and process updates related to Care Model initiatives.
- Provide general support to the ID & Stratification and Care Model teams as needed.
