About The Position
We are seeking a motivated intern to join our small but mighty team and gain hands-on experience in all aspects of Biospecimen Operations. This is a unique opportunity to observe, learn, and actively participate in various critical processes within LabConnect. Our 12-week paid internship program offers students a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and learn valuable skills that will help them grow professionally. Throughout the program, interns will have a chance to work on meaningful projects, collaborate with experienced professionals, and gain applicable skills in their field of study. Requirements
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field- junior or senior preferred
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Attention to detail and time management skills
- Microsoft Suite Experience (Excel, Word, Teams)
Responsibilities
- Specimen Receipt and Sorting: Assist in receiving and sorting specimen deliveries.
- Sample Accessioning: Participate in the sample accessioning process.
- Specimen Storage: Support long-term specimen storage and retrieval for shipment to partner laboratories.
- Specimen Processing: Learn and assist in the processing of DNA and PBMCs in our Specimen Processing Lab.
