About The Position

Cytokinetics is a specialty cardiovascular biopharmaceutical company, building on its over 25 years of pioneering scientific innovations in muscle biology, and advancing a pipeline of potential new medicines for patients suffering from diseases of cardiac muscle dysfunction. At Cytokinetics, each team member plays an integral part in advancing our mission to improve the lives of patients. We are seeking tenacious, compassionate, and collaborative individuals who are driven to make a positive impact. The Biology Technologies Intern will support research efforts focused on understanding the molecular mechanisms of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) by characterizing disease-associated myosin mutants. This internship provides hands-on experience using biochemical and biophysical techniques to study how specific mutations affect protein structure, stability, and activity. The intern will contribute meaningful experimental data that informs Cytokinetics’ drug discovery and development programs in cardiovascular disease. This is an onsite internship. Candidates must be able to work in person at the South San Francisco office.
