About The Position

As a Labcorp intern, you’ll be immersed in hands-on work that complements your academic background. Interns will be immersed in the daily operations of a clinical lab, gaining exposure to specimen processing, instrumentation, and workflow management. You’ll work alongside experienced Technologists and Supervisors who are passionate about mentoring and developing future lab professionals. You will be a part of the Biochemical Genetics team.

Requirements

  • Be working toward a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology or a non-traditional Bachelor’s degree that meets local regulatory (CLIA & State) requirements
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Show initiative and the ability to work independently under general supervision
  • Have a genuine interest in pursuing a career in the Laboratory environment

Nice To Haves

  • Candidates interested in Biochemical Genetics are highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support project planning and execution for department initiatives
  • Assist in validation plans and summaries
  • Shadow instrument validation and qualification processes
  • Perform tasks related to change control management
  • Assist in troubleshooting
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Complete record logs and other administrative duties as requested
  • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures to ensure safety and quality standards
