Role Overview: As a Summer Intern, you’ll get hands-on experience with how security really works in a modern DevSecOps environment—not just in theory, but in practice. You’ll learn how teams manage and prioritize vulnerabilities, how to cut through alert noise to focus on real risk, and how AI can help make smarter security decisions. You’ll experiment with agentic AI and LLMs, build practical prototypes, and gain a solid understanding of AWS cloud security along the way. You’ll also work closely with experienced engineers to see how vulnerabilities are evaluated and fixed in real systems. By the end of the summer, you’ll have practical skills, real impact, and a clear picture of how AI and security come together in the real world.

  • Currently pursuing a degree in: Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, Data Science or a related field
  • Strong interest and hands-on exposure to AI systems and LLM-based tools
  • Experience using or building with: Large Language Models (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, open-source LLMs), AI frameworks or SDKs (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex, similar agent frameworks)
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python strongly preferred)
  • Ability to quickly learn new tools and experiment with emerging AI technologies
  • Strong problem-solving skills and clear communication

  • Experience with security tools, logs, or scan results (academic or personal projects are fine)
  • Exposure to: Cloud platforms (AWS preferred), DevOps or DevSecOps practices

Responsibilities

  • Build a Proof of Concept (POC) for AI-driven vulnerability triage and prioritization

  • Ingests vulnerability findings from security tools (code and infrastructure)
  • Analyzes severity, context, and asset criticality
  • Produces a risk-based prioritized view of vulnerabilities
  • Correlate vulnerability data with:
  • Environment context (e.g., production vs non-production)
  • Cloud asset importance
  • Known security risk indicators
  • Generate clear, human-readable explanations for why vulnerabilities are prioritized
