Overview We are seeking a full-time Intern - Art Director in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the creative team by helping design and visualize ideas for integrated advertising campaigns and internal communications. This role provides exposure to concept development, design execution, and production for world-class consumer products across fitness, outdoor, marine, automotive, and aviation markets. This role works closely with designers, art directors, copywriters and producers utilizing industry-standard workflows. Essential Functions Collaborate with copywriters and art directors to explore and visualize creative concepts Assist in designing layouts, mockups, and presentation materials for campaigns Support photo and video shoots by assisting with concepting or prep Help produce final artwork and make revisions based on feedback Participate in creative reviews and contribute ideas Assist other creatives with workload and other job-related duties as assigned Basic Qualifications Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Advertising, or another related major Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills and excellent presentation skills Must be proficient in Adobe suite, particularly in Photoshop, Lightroom, InDesign and Illustrator Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a flexible, fast paced and challenging environment Must be detail-oriented and work effectively with minimal supervision Desired Qualifications Experience in/enthusiasm for navigation, consumer electronics, wireless, fitness, and/or automotive electronics Experience in/enthusiasm for photography and videography Garmin International is an equal opportunity employer.
