About The Position

SWBC is seeking talented students to join their College Intern Program in San Antonio, Texas. This program offers an exciting opportunity for motivated college students to gain practical hands-on experience and training within their educational field of study, specifically within the financial services industry. Interns will be developed, taught, mentored, and supported by talented professionals, working on impactful and meaningful projects. Full-time and part-time paid internship opportunities are available across various departments including Information Technology, Accounting, Marketing, Human Resources, Mortgage, Insurance, Legal, PEO, Lender Placed Operations, Financial Institutions, Investment Services and Training. Placement is based on interest, experience, academic coursework, SWBC’s business need, and college/university schedule flexibility. The role focuses on learning on the job in real-time and becoming a valued team member of the SWBC family.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree at an accredited university/college in Cyber Security, Information Systems, Business Management, Risk or Emergency Management, or related program.
  • Expected graduation date of December 2026 or later.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills required.
  • Detail oriented and possess excellent follow up skills.
  • Organized and adapt well to change.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
  • Passion and desire for learning and a proactive energy for getting things done.
  • Display maturity and a high level of professionalism.
  • Familiarity with secure software development practices and DevSecOps concepts.
  • Understanding of OWASP Top 10, secure coding practices, or common application vulnerabilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with security platforms such as GitHub Advanced Security, Burp Suite, or similar tools.
  • Experience with Python or another scripting language.

  • Assists with preparation of measurement reports showing the results of their area.
