About The Position

Application Developer Intern Job Summary The Application Developer Intern will work with the Information Technology (IT) team, and will focus on enterprise integration, application development tools, to create, test, implement and maintain web or mobile applications in-house. The Application Developer Intern will show initiative in troubleshooting problems, product improvement, and demonstrate effective communication with both IT and business partners. Personality and team focus are critical to success at UFCU. Under supervision, the Application Developer Intern will deliver secure applications based upon requirements. The Application Developer Intern must be proactive in delivering successful solutions, including helping define requirements, application development and deployment, implementing best-practices, supporting testing efforts, and providing documentation while working with business units. The Application Developer Intern is also responsible for proactively providing project tasks and status updates. The 12-week internship program begins May 26, 2026 through August 14, 2026. Requirements

  • Knowledge of Agile Scrum software development practices and methodologies
  • Knowledge of basic UI/UX design principles and best practices
  • Knowledge of cloud services, such as Azure, and APIs
  • Analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Organizational, process management and time management skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, collaborative and active listening skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with IT and business partners
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to engage in problem-solving skills to help identify and resolve issues
  • Currently enrolled as a full-time student with an accredited college or university
  • Enrolled in a degree seeking program with an emphasis on Computer Science
  • Minimum of 60 completed academic hours
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license. Job may require travel to various locations throughout the Austin metro area.
  • Must be bondable

Nice To Haves

  • Experience building RESTful services using Web API, Java, or other leading web services platforms
  • Experience building applications using C#, SQL Server, MVC, Js, Java, Swift, Kotlin or Angular
  • Knowledge of web application-specific security issues and mitigation
  • Experience working with source control such as GIT
  • Experience working for a financial institution
