Requirements

Currently pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.
Basic understanding of REST APIs, HTTP, and JSON.
Awareness of authentication concepts (OAuth, tokens).
Interest in governance and security risk management.

Nice To Haves

Exposure to API gateways, WAFs, or security scanning tools.
Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Responsibilities

API Inventory & Risk Assessment Assist in identifying and inventorying enterprise APIs. Support security reviews to identify vulnerabilities and misconfigurations. Evaluate APIs against OWASP API Top 10 guidance.
Governance & Controls Help define and validate API security policies and controls. Review authentication and authorization implementations. Track remediation efforts and posture improvements.
Documentation & Reporting Document findings, risk reports, and remediation recommendations. Support implementation of API monitoring and security tooling.
