About The Position

As an AI Developer Intern at HealthStream, you will be at the forefront of integrating cutting-edge artificial intelligence into our products and services. You will work on high-impact projects ranging from developing AI Platform Services to building full-stack AI prototypes and internal tooling. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate cross-functionally with product and business teams to design and implement innovative AI solutions. Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with (or strong willingness to learn) programming languages and frameworks, specifically Python and React.
• Basic understanding of Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and Machine Learning concepts.
• Exposure to Version Control Software (e.g., Azure DevOps, Git/GitHub) and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) workflows.
• Introductory knowledge of or interest in Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Relevant coursework, personal/academic projects, or foundational knowledge in computer science, software engineering, or data science.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of AI Platform Services.
• Build and deploy full-stack AI prototypes and internal tooling to support business needs.
• Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and business teams to identify opportunities and develop AI-driven solutions.
• Research, experiment with, and implement emerging Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and Machine Learning technologies.
• Translate complex technical concepts and communicate project progress effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
