About The Position
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Summer Intern to support our Finance and Accounting team. This internship provides hands-on experience in corporate accounting operations, including month-end close activities, financial analysis, and special projects.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and identify variances.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas).
- Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Should be striving to become detail-oriented, highly organized, and manage time well.
- This position is not eligible for Microchip immigration sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Assist with month-end close processes, including preparing schedules, performing reconciliations, and supporting journal entry preparation.
- Support the team with variance analysis, including identifying key drivers and explaining the underlying causes of the variances.
- Assist with capital projects by performing data clean-up and validation, ensuring data accuracy and consistency across financial datasets.

- The hourly pay range for this position, which could be performed in the US, is $17-$20 an hour.
