The intern will research and develop path-following and vehicle motion planning algorithm. The internship offers hands-on experience in evaluating and implementing algorithms to enhance vehicle control smoothness.

Requirements

  • Must be a master’s or Ph.D. student enrolled at a University/College or Graduation date must be within the last six months.
  • Fundamental understanding of controllers such as Model Predictive Control (MPC) and Model Predictive Path Integral (MPPI).
  • Strong background in C++.
  • Experience with ROS/ROS2 framework.
  • Familiarity with quadratic programming frameworks or parallel programming frameworks.
  • Fluent in English, German is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in a motion planning project encompassing online path replanning and control signal optimization.
  • Research and assess various motion controller algorithms.
  • Implement and refine algorithms in C++ using quadratic programming framework.
  • Integrate and optimize source code for prototype vehicle applications.
