About The Position

Middle Bay Transportation is looking for an Intermodal Dispatcher for our Charleston, South Carolina terminal. Purpose and Scope: Work with terminal team to provide service to customers from the initial orders to the completion of the deliveries.

Requirements

• Prior intermodal dispatch experience required.
• Strong decision making and prioritizing skills required.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have good interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with internal employees / drivers and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule loads.
• Communicate daily with drivers on schedules for pick-ups and deliveries.
• Prioritize loads for the most efficient and cost effective solution for customers.
• Track shipments for customers.
• Resolve issues with pick-ups and deliveries.
• Inform and stay in constant communication with Customer Service Rep to resolve issues that may arise.
• Perform other duties as assigned including back-up for other employees.
