About The Position

HCM is currently seeking a Project Manager with a successful track record of managing all phases of interior architectural projects from inception through completion, client interaction, schedule and financial performance. You will join the team creating branded, interior, amenity spaces for top housing developers across the country. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Additionally, the candidate will assist in business development for new project work, including proposal preparation and interviews.

Requirements

  • Must have the ability to maintain existing client relationships and build new client relationships.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written and graphic communication skills.
  • Dedicated to delivering high quality design.
  • Initiative and desire to help build our Multifamily Interior Design & Branding portfolio and footprint.
  • Team Player with a collaborative mindset.
  • 10+ years of related experience, including demonstrated success as a project manager on a range of interior architectural project types including multifamily & hospitality.
  • Experience leading, managing and mentoring multiple project teams.
  • Experience interfacing with clients and collaborating with Architecture & Consultant teams.
  • Experience negotiating project scope, fees and budgets, both internal and external.
  • Experience in leading and mentoring a team of designers.
  • Knowledge of construction details, building codes and accessibility standards.
  • Proficiency with Revit.
  • Capability with Sketch Up, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, Bluebeam.
  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design.
  • Ability to Commute: Baltimore, MD 21202 (Required).
  • Work Location: Hybrid, In person 3 days a week (Required).
  • Licensure is required – Architecture or NCIDQ

Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day management of the project team (concept through contract documents and contract administration) as well as the client and consultant teams.
  • Staffing assignments required to meet project milestones.
  • The project team participates in the development, reviews and technical aspects of the design execution of a project.
  • Project scheduling and financial performance of projects.
  • Construction budget reviews and values engineering efforts across the life of the project.
  • To proposal writing and possible attendance at interviews for potential projects.
  • To mentorship of staff.
  • To develop the project’s vision design throughout all project phases.
  • To the preparation of design documents and detailed development of construction documents during all project phases.
  • In communication of design intent, verbally, graphically and in writing to the internal design team as well as clients, consultants and contractors.
  • In Construction Administration, including but not limited to shop drawings, material submittals and conducts periodic site visits during construction.
  • In developing and refining team strategies and resources.
