Why you’re here As an Intermediate Designer at Unispace, you’ll bring your growing expertise to projects that shape innovative, dynamic workplaces. This role is perfect for you if you’re ready to apply your experience in interior design and work closely with a collaborative team to bring spaces to life. With a strong foundation in design, detailing, and project support, you’ll contribute to client-centered designs and elevate the impact of Unispace’s projects. You balance creativity with a strong technical understanding of how design is realized, with hands-on experience in construction documentation (CD) and construction administration (CA)

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in interior design, with a strong background in corporate or commercial interiors.
  • Proficiency in space planning, furnishings, and equipment selection, with a growing understanding of workplace strategies.
  • Professional experience with design tools like AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and SketchUp, with a commitment to developing expertise in design documentation.
  • Hands-on experience delivering construction documentation (CD) and supporting construction administration (CA)
  • Skilled in design detailing, producing clear, accurate drawings, finish boards, and specifications.
  • Experience in producing presentations, with both visual and verbal communication skills that enhance the design narrative for clients.
  • Strong organizational abilities, with attention to detail and experience working on multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior designers and project teams to develop and refine design concepts, ensuring alignment with client goals and project scope.
  • Contribute to the selection of finishes, fixtures, and furnishings, curating materials and aesthetics that support the design vision and client brand.
  • Develop and review detailed space plans, utilizing your knowledge in space planning to enhance project flow and functionality.
  • Produce detailed construction documents, furniture packages, and finish schedules, with an eye for accuracy and completeness.
  • Lead site visits and surveys, documenting conditions and verifying design details to ensure alignment between design intent and field execution.
  • Work closely with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and internal teams, to communicate project updates and coordinate deliverables.
  • Participate in and help deliver client presentations, bringing a polished, professional approach that effectively conveys design intent and inspires clients.
  • Support the team in the organization of project information, updating timelines, and tracking project milestones to ensure we meet client commitments.
