Job Summary: The Interim Senior Accountant – Not For Profit is responsible for preparing and reviewing financial statements, managing month-end and year-end close processes, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and non-profit regulations during a contract period. This role collaborates with clients and internal teams to deliver high-quality accounting services, assists with process improvements, and provides guidance on complex accounting issues specific to the non-profit sector. This is a contract role that requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, client-focused environment. This role will work a sporadic and fluctuating schedule. Job Duties: Prepares and reviews financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards and non-profit regulations Manages month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries Assists with implementation of new accounting policies and procedures relevant to non-profit organizations Supports clients with technical accounting issues and provides recommendations, including grant and fund accounting Coordinates with internal and client teams to ensure timely and accurate deliverables Identifies opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, donor restrictions, and internal controls Participates in special projects and ad hoc assignments as needed Other duties as required Supervisory Responsibilities: N/A
