About The Position

Abuse Refuge Org (ARO) is dedicated to supporting individuals on their healing journey from 21 different types of abuse, including Sexual, Spousal, Physical, Psychological, Narcissistic, Financial, Self, Elderly, Isolation, Child, Bullying, Cyberbullying, Workplace, Religious, Medical, Food, Authority, Educational, Child Sexual Exploitation, Sex Trafficking, and Political Abuse. ARO provides solutions and real-time education. The organization invites individuals to support its efforts through various means, including signing up for Norm Therapist® Training, scheduling Norm Therapy® sessions, becoming a Live Stream volunteer, joining the mailing list, and providing financial assistance. This Interim On & Offboarding Supervisor role involves providing leadership, support, advocacy, and vision to onboarding and offboarding coordinators and support staff, working collaboratively with the On & Offboarding Manager and HR Talent Acquisition leadership team to streamline processes and ensure efficient volunteer management.

Requirements

  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Must be available to volunteer 10-15 hours a week.
  • Actively engage with our organization's social media platforms by liking, sharing, or commenting on posts to help spread awareness of our mission and initiatives.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential
  • Understanding of applicable policies and federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, support, advocacy, and vision to onboarding and offboarding coordinators and support staff
  • Work in collaboration with the On & Offboarding Manager and HR Talent Acquisition leadership team
  • Oversee a team working in Onboarding and Offboarding
  • Develop new strategies and programs to streamline the onboarding and offboarding process
  • Ensure all necessary documentation is recorded for new volunteers and tasks among team members are completed on time.
  • Work with the offboarding team to remove inactive volunteers from all platforms
  • Communicate with managers in other departments about new team members.
  • Oversee the daily workflow of the department.
  • Work closely with the HR Department to share best practices, provide assistance on critical needs, and coordinate global-level initiatives.
  • Attend monthly team meeting on the second Tuesday of each month at 12:30pm EST.
  • Provide constructive and timely performance feedback.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
