About The Position

Intensive Support Professional - First Resources Corp. Intensive Residential Services Home (IRSH) šŸ“ Location: Ottumwa, IA šŸ•’ Employment Type: Full-Time šŸ’µ Pay Rate: $18+/hour (based on experience) Schedule This is a full-time position with 12-hour shifts, each including time for client care, documentation, and training. Each shift is staffed with two Intensive Support Professionals to ensure a safe and supportive environment. šŸŒ™ 2nd Shift (6:50pm-7:30am) 6:50 PM - 6:59 PM: Shift Change 7:00 PM - 6:59 AM: Client Care 7:00 AM - 7:30 AM: Documentation & Training Support Stability. Empower Recovery. First Resources Corp. has launched a new Intensive Residential Services Home (IRSH) in Ottumwa, IA, and we're hiring Intensive Support Professionals to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a new, short-term, high-impact service designed to help individuals stabilize and reintegrate into their communities. About First Resources Corp. Founded in 1987, First Resources Corp. is a not-for-profit agency serving Southeast Iowa. We provide a wide range of home- and community-based services, including behavioral health, substance use treatment, case management, and residential support. Our mission is to enhance the lives of those we serve by meeting their unique needs with compassion and respect. About the Program Intensive Residential Services Home (IRSH) is a short-term, in-home rehabilitation program for adults with mental health, behavioral health, intellectual disabilities, or co-occurring conditions. The goal is to support stabilization through medication and appointment compliance, crisis planning, behavior modification, and skill-building. Each home will serve up to four adults and be staffed with two Intensive Support Professionals per shift. The home includes office space, two company vehicles, and all necessary tools to support client success.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • 1+ year of experience in mental and/or behavioral health services (required)
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Suite, database systems)
  • Ability to lift 40+ lbs
  • Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
  • Access to a phone
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire)
  • Completion of all required training and ongoing competency requirements
  • As part of the job requirements applicants must have satisfactory results on a background check.

  • Previous DSP experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support clients with medication and appointment compliance
  • Assist with crisis planning, behavior management, and skill-building
  • Document progress and follow Person Centered Service Plans (PCSPs)
  • Work collaboratively with a team in a structured, supportive environment
