About The Position

Intensive Home-Based Treatment (IHBT) Manager – Child & Adolescent Location: The Centers – Gordon Square The Intensive Home-Based Treatment (IHBT) program is part of the Pediatric Behavioral Health Integration division within The Centers, and we are looking for a passionate Manager to help us expand our IHBT program. If you like to work independently and with a team, and are interested in expanding a program, then this position is for YOU! The IHBT Manager will provide clinical and administrative oversight to the IHBT Team. IHBT focuses on the mental health issues that put the youth at risk, while promoting positive development and healthy family functioning with services provided around the clock. The goal of IHBT is to help young people avoid out-of-home placements such as inpatient hospitalization or residential treatment. It is also used to assist with the transition from these types of placements so they can live and function successfully at home, in school, and in the community. The IHBT Manager will supervise a team of IHBT clinicians, with small caseloads of 6-7 youth each, for 3-6 months, overseeing psychiatric diagnostic evaluations, individual and family counseling, therapeutic behavioral support, and crisis intervention and stabilization. Services are provided within the community and home with the availability of telehealth as clinically indicated. Having a small caseload allows clinicians to spend 3-5 hours per week with the client and family to build engagement to identify and address the behavioral health needs, build resilience, and empower families to continue making progress with their formal and informal support systems.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Social Work or Counseling with a LISWS/LPCCS required
  • Clinical and administrative supervision experience
  • The IHBT team will have on call availability 24/5 with a weekend on call rotation. Manager will participate in the rotation and respond to clinical consultation and provide supervisory back-up to clients

Nice To Haves

  • Must be proficient in provision of child and family systems therapy, preferred IHBT or MultiSystemic Therapy clinical and/or supervisory experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and coordination for of the IHBT program ensuring all professional and ethical standards
  • Provide clinical and administrative oversight over comprehensive behavioral health services for assigned caseload including psychiatric diagnostic evaluations, individualized treatment planning, individual and family therapy, care coordination/CPST/TBS services
  • Provide administrative supervision to the program and staff including, but not limited to, hiring, supervision, evaluation, disciplinary action, and termination of employees
  • Provide clinical supervision to IHBT clinicians, as well as participate in IHBT trainings and boosters to ensure team adherence to the fidelity of the IHBT model
  • Train and prepare the team for Annual IHBT Fidelity Reviews and prepares all required clinical documentation and reports requested prior to the review
  • May provide IHBT clinical services, if needed
  • Collaborate with Probation Officers, Children Service Workers, CME Care Coordinators, school staff and other community and treatment providers to develop care paths and optimize clinical progress
  • Ensure behavioral health integration with the client’s health needs and consult with staff on appropriate referrals for appropriate medical, dental, psychiatric, and other psychosocial service needs
  • Responsible for the team’s timely completion of agency and IHBT related documentation as well as outcomes data tracking
  • Evaluate, measure, and set objectives which determine courses of action to achieve program goals and results
  • Works collaboratively with the clinical and operations leadership as well as members of the quality and compliance team to prepare for audits, implement changes, reporting requirements and evaluations for certifications. Helps to design and implement corrective action plans to address deficiencies or findings on audits. Assist management with developing and recommending new or revised program goals and objectives
  • Assign cases, assure productivity standards are met and monitor adherence to clinical documentation
  • Provide 24/7 supervisory back-up to clients and consultation to providers
  • Participate in marketing and public relations activities
  • Other duties as assigned
