About The Position

Overview We are seeking an Intensive Care Unit RN Manager , sometimes referred to as an Intensive Care Nurse Manager or ICU RN Manager. The ICU RN Manager conducts team huddles to communicate updates and align the team on daily priorities. ICU RN Managers oversee patient care plans and collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to address complex cases. Throughout the day, the ICU RN Manager engages in problem-solving, addresses staff concerns, and provides mentorship to the ICU nursing team. Requirements

  • Must have a current and valid state license as a Registered Nurse
  • BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current
  • A minimum of two years supervisory/management experience necessary
  • Minimum of three years of continuous clinical experience in a clinical/acute care setting
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (AHA) upon hire and maintain current
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), required for all hires after 1/11/2021

Responsibilities

  • Provide strong clinical leadership and serves as a role model for professional ICU nursing practice within the ICU department
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality and appropriateness of ICU nursing care provided, implement quality improvement
  • Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, patients, and families to develop and implement individualized plans of care
  • Proactively identify and resolve clinical issues and ensure effective communication among the ICU Care Teams
  • Evaluate staff performance, provide constructive feedback, and conduct regular performance appraisals
  • Identify ICU staff educational needs and facilitate opportunities for professional growth and development, including in-services, continuing education, and certifications
  • Monitor and analyze unit metrics, identifying trends and implementing strategies for improvement
