About The Position

As an Intelligence Planner, you will use your specialized regional and functional experience and your attention to detail to assist in the development of campaign plans, deliberate planning, crisis management, and time-sensitive planning in accordance with the Joint Operations Planning and Execution System. If you have strong analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset, we have an opportunity to use those skills to support our warfighters. You’ll employ your intelligence expertise and knowledge to assist in the integration of Defense and National intelligence support capabilities across the DoD. Mission areas for Intelligence Planner assistance include the development of campaign plans, deliberate planning, crisis management, and time-sensitive planning in accordance with the Joint Operations Planning and Execution System (JOPES). You’ll work as part of an intelligence planning team and ensure intelligence equities are integrated into strategic and operational-level military planning or execution. You’ll provide intelligence support to campaign, contingency, and crisis planning, document intelligence resourcing gaps and shortfalls, and develop mitigation strategies. You will integrate intelligence products and services supporting the Joint Planning Process (JPP) and synchronize intelligence cycle supporting collection, analysis, production, and targeting in the JPP. Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience with Joint Planning Processes
  • 2+ years of experience on a strategic level staff, including Joint Staff, Service Staff, Combatant Command, or Service Component Command, or a national-level intelligence agency
  • Knowledge of the Joint Planning Process and outputs, including JIPOE, Center of Gravity Analysis, Enemy Course of Actions, or Annex B
  • Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
  • Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience with the DoD, or 7+ years of experience with the DoD in lieu of a degree

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of experience as an intelligence analyst
  • Knowledge of IC databases and tools
  • Ability to provide all-source intelligence analysis and assessments
  • Ability to brief senior defense and government officials
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Master’s degree
  • Completion of a DoD Intelligence Planning Course
  • Completion of Joint Professional Military Education, including Phase I or II

Responsibilities
